• Do students actually ENJOY attending Mathnasium?

  Absolutely! Our instructors are fun and engaging role models who teach conversationally and interactively. Our awesome Rewards Program keeps kids motivated. And our monthly Game Nights are free!
  
  We know that Math Tutoring can sometimes be a very daunting thing to a kid. But students who enjoy learning, learn MORE. Once a student steps inside a Mathnasium Learning Center, meets our awesome instructors, and sees how we approach learning math differently, their whole outlook on Math Tutoring changes. We see it all the time!

• What math classes can your instructors teach?

  Our caring, specially trained instructors work with elementary, middle, and high school students of all skill levels looking to learn and master any K-12 math class and topic, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus.

• Why do you require an assessment for enrollment?

  Each student is given a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints their strengths, knowledge gaps, and unique goals, so that we can create a personalized learning plan that will put them on the best path to math mastery.

• Do you work with advanced students or only the ones struggling with math?

  We empower students of all skill levels to excel in math, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.
  
  If a student is struggling or simply looking to keep up in their math class, Mathnasium will build upon what they already know, addressing their learning gaps and teaching math in a way that makes sense to them.
  
  We also work with advanced students to expand their math skills and help them achieve their greatest potential. At Mathnasium, advanced students can explore the topics beyond their school’s math curriculum and receive personalized support to achieve their unique academic goals.

• How do you teach math? What method or curriculum do you use?

  We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach which combines personalized learning plans with proven techniques to build math knowledge upon what students already know, so they're able to retain what they learn and gain confidence along the way.
  
  The Mathnasium Method™ gives students the fundamental skills, critical thinking processes, and problem solving abilities necessary to be successful in any school curriculum, from Common Core to Singapore Math to Saxon, and everything in between!

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes, we prepare K-12 students for school and standardized math tests, including STAAR, SAT, ACT, MAP, TSI, ASVAAB, CBE, and more.

• Do you help with a student's current class homework?

  We do! While our primary goal is to develop our students' overall understanding of math for lifelong success, we know that it is also important that they are able to apply that knowledge to their current classwork. We allow time during every student visit for help with their homework and other math classwork.

• Do you accept SSES/PDSES Funds?

  Yes, we are an approved vendor for the PDSES program.

• How often, and for how long, will my child attend a session at Mathnasium?

  Our students attend 2 to 3 times per week, for either 1 hour or 1.5 hour sessions, depending on their grade level.
