When I started, my confidence in maths was pretty low. Now I feel so much more confident and happy with my ability. I am even considering continuing with it to A-Level!

Delivering our proprietary curriculum face-to-face in a way that makes sense to them.
Teaching each individual exactly what they need to learn and only what they need to learn.
Our instructors are trained to make learning maths a fun and empowering experience.
Our secondary maths tutors are specially trained to teach your child how to understand and excel in maths no matter where they are in their maths journey. They are university and college students who teach with patience and encouragement in a face-to-face setting. Parents tell us all the time how much they value and appreciate our instructors. They work hard to motivate, provide emotional support and celebrate student success each and every day.
Our InstructorsContact your local Mathnasium Learning Centre with any questions you may have about GCSE maths tutoring. Here are some of the more common ones we get:
To challenge secondary school students ask lots of “why” and “what if” questions. Test their knowledge not just as a learner, but also as a teacher. Ask them to explain challenging problems as if they were teaching others how to solve them. Ask them to prove why something is true.
You should also consider enrolling them at Mathnasium for a challenging, accelerated and engaging supplemental curriculum. Our GCSE maths tutors aren’t just for kids who need maths homework help!
To practice maths at home, you can incorporate elements of it into your everyday routine. Start a craft or DIY project that requires you to use formulas or measure advanced elements for planning.
Cooking and baking are excellent for getting some practice with proportions. Or try and work out a budget for the week, month, or year. For expert guidance and more ideas, you can also turn to Mathnasium’s specialised maths tutors.
Yes! At Mathnasium, we have maths tutors who are specially trained to deliver personalised plans to get or keep your child on track with secondary school maths and prepare them for their GCSE exams.
Students of any ability level can benefit from working with our maths tutors. Our tutors are instrumental in transforming a child’s attitude, ability, progress, and confidence
To prepare your child for GCSE maths, make maths a positive force in your home. Get tools online to help them expand their maths skill set, and encourage your child to use maths daily.
You can also enrol them in a GCSE maths tutoring programme to support them with secondary maths and prepare them for Higher or Foundation Tier as soon as you are ready.
At Mathnasium, we understand that assessments can sometimes feel stressful for students. That’s why we take a personalised and engaging approach to each assessment. We start by building rapport with your child, giving them a short centre tour, and finding out about maths at school.
We use both verbal and written questions to identify your child’s strengths and areas for improvement as well as to gain a true understanding of how each student approaches and thinks about maths. More importantly, our assessments don’t feel like a test – we ensure your child feels comfortable and confident in order to get the most accurate picture of how we can help.
Yes. After the assessment, our team will provide you with detailed feedback on your child's results, including establishing goals for the programme and how we can support your child’s schoolwork and GCSE goals. You’ll also receive an overview of your child’s strengths and areas for improvement and an outline of which topics we will tackle first.
We believe that open communication is key, so we will discuss your child’s progress with you regularly to ensure you stay informed.
