The Mathnasium Method™ is a proprietary teaching approach designed to build solid foundations for math mastery. Combining personalized learning plans with interactive teaching techniques, the Mathnasium Method™ helps students develop a deep understanding of advanced calculus topics and increases their knowledge level by level.
The specific topics we cover will depend on the student’s level and the strengths and weaknesses we identify during the assessment.
The topics our tutors usually focus on include:
· Limits and continuity
· Differentiation techniques (product rule, chain rule)
· Application of derivatives (related rates, optimization)
· Integration techniques (substitution, integration by parts)
· Application of integrals (area under a curve, volume)
· Differential equations and more
Your local learning center will recommend the ideal frequency of sessions based on your student’s skill level and specific goals.
We typically suggest 2-3 sessions of 60 minutes per week.
There is no difference between our in-center and online math tutoring. Our live, face-to-face online sessions are even held by the same tutors you would meet at your nearest Mathnasium Learning Center.
Yes. Every student at Mathnasium begins their enrollment with a diagnostic assessment which helps us identify their current skill level, strengths, and knowledge gaps.
Using assessment-based insights, we create a personalized learning plan that will help students close their knowledge gaps and reach their academic goals such as mastering Advanced Calculus.
Enrolling at Mathnasium is as easy as one-two-three:
1. Find a learning center and contact them, even if your child will be following an online learning program.
2. Book an assessment so we can pinpoint any learning gaps and develop a personalized learning plan guided by expert math tutors.
3. Schedule your sessions. Your local Center Director is there to help you schedule the sessions for your child and guide you through the process.
